last sunday may 1st was evan's last soccer game of the spring 2011 season for mountain brook soccer.

he did awesome, and even made is first goal during the game...we really don't think that it matters that it was into the other teams goal! oh, threes soccer league is so sweet.
mima came flew up from florida to watch evan's last game! he was so happy to have her as his cheerleader.
evan was so proud of this photo that he took of his papi.
we're really gonna miss sunday soccer. it was a nice family time that we looked forward to each weekend, and the other families were all so supportive. evan had lots of friends from his class on other teams there too.

Great job, Evan, on your picture of your Papi. You make your Manina proud! Gabby loves taking photos, too, and sometimes she'll get very artistic with hers. I could post a blog full of her photo journalism. Photos of cereal up close, self portraits with strange facial expressions, pictures of blurry cars from her view from the back seat, pictures of her toes, and my favorite...pictures of food...makes her momma's heart melt. I have a feeling there will be many more soccer games in the future. Evan needs to give Gabby a few pointers. All last fall, she would cry when someone kicked her ball from her, socialized with a friends hanging on the net, or play with the babies on the sidelines. We may give it another year before we try soccer again!
