It's 2:00 P.M. on October 21, 2008, and I had to get on to the blog right away. Evan just took three unassisted steps! Hooray! I was closing a drawer in the kitchen and telling him, "NO", when he just turned around and walked away...till he fell down of course. I wasn't able to get any photos of the moments since I wasn't expecting it. At least I can document it on the blog.
Back to dealing with a runny nose...

The perfect pumpkin
Evan and his cousin Aidan had a wonderful time at the pumpkin farm. They enjoyed riding together in Aidan's wagon, and seeing all the farm animals. The goats captured their attention since the freely came up to the fence looking for food. I enjoyed the lemonaid and kettle corn, yum!
Climbing
Evan has begun to climb on and into everything. He found an empty drawer that fit him quite well on our last trip to Greenville, South Carolina. We love Embassy Suites hotels because it's just the perfect layout for people with children.
On our recent trip to Sarasota to visit Papa and Nana, Uncle Pete showed Evan how to climb onto coffee tables. Thanks a bunch Uncle Pete!

Giddy Up
A couple of weeks ago we took Evan and Buster for a walk around the neighborhood. Evan loves to be the one to walk Buster. It worked for about 10 seconds before Buster realized what he was in for and got spooked.

His own man
Last night at dinner Evan picked up his spork and began to attempt to feed himself with it. He was successful at making it in his mouth, but also lots ended up in his hair. Gotta go with it though just so feeding time continues to be a happy and fun experience for him. Matt and I were just cheering and clapping all throughout dinner, and Evan was very excited.
Tonight we leave for Greenville. Wish us luck!

The search could be over!

So we think we've finally found a small enough double stroller which will accept the infant car seat we have...VALCO Twin Latitude.
Here's a link about the stroller.

Cute stuff for your blog
Hi There,
I found this website that has lots of cute background options for blogs. In case you are interested here's the name of the site, "The Cutest Blog on the Block".
I've been spending way too much time on the internet in search of the perfect double stroller. There's so much to think about. Do I go with the side-by-side or a tandem. There's pros and negatives for both. I also would like one that accepts our infant car seat (Peg Perego). Double also means double in price, but what can you do that's normal when you have to get something that will accomodate two children. I'll most likely use a single stroller and sling baby Joel, but that's hoping that Joel will like to be in a sling. I'd like to have the option of pushing both of them.
Oh, so much to think about. And time is just ticking away. I'm now 24 weeks along.

Evan goes for a ride
The weather is getting so much nicer, so in the evenings we've been taking Evan for joy rides in his new whisper quiet buggy that he got for his birthday. Can you tell he loves it!
